Shipping Policy

R44 Performance ("we" and "us") is the operator of (https://www.r44performance.com) ("Website"). By placing an order through this Website you will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.

1. General

Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time to time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfil all your items at the time of purchase. In this instance, we will contact you about whether you would like to await restocking of the back-ordered item(s) or pay an additional uplift shipping charge to ship the in-stock products, or if you would prefer for us to process a refund for the order.

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, box dimensions and destination of the items in the order. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase at checkout.

Unfortunately due to the nature of shipping goods both domestically and internationally, these rates only serve as an estimate and are reviewed by us regularly to make sure they are as accurate as possible. The rates are subject to change without warning by our couriers, resulting in a shipping uplift needing to be paid by the customer in some cases. We will contact you if this is the case. We do aim to minimize this cost as much as possible, and apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

We offer free shipping for all orders over £99 within The United Kingdom. This, unfortunately, excludes shipping to Ireland, Scotland and our range of Maxton branded products. You can also pick up your order at our London warehouse. This option is offered free of charge and customer service will contact you as soon as your order is ready to be picked up. Just select this option at checkout instead of shipping.

3. Delivery Terms

3.1 Transit Time Domestically

In general, domestic (United Kingdom) shipments are in transit for 2 - 7 days

3.2 Transit time Internationally

Generally, orders shipped internationally are in transit for 2 - 22 days. This varies greatly depending on the courier you have selected. We are able to offer a more specific estimate when you are choosing your courier at the checkout.

3.3 Dispatch Time

Orders are usually dispatched within 1-2 business days of payment of order unless specified on the product page. Our warehouse operates on Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays at which time the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum.

3.4 Change Of Delivery Address

For a change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched.

3.5 P.O. Box Shipping

R44 Performance will ship to P.O. box addresses using postal services only. We are unable to offer couriers services to these locations.

3.6 Military Address Shipping

We are able to ship to military addresses using a range of couriers.

3.7 Items Out Of Stock

If an item is out of stock, we will wait for the item to be available before dispatching your order. Existing items in the order will be reserved while we await this item.

3.8 Delivery Time Exceeded

If the delivery time has exceeded the forecast time, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.

4. Tracking Notifications

Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking link from which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider.

5. Parcels Damaged In Transit

If you find a parcel is damaged in transit, if possible, please reject the parcel from the courier and get in touch with our customer service. If the parcel has been delivered without you being present, please contact customer service with the next steps.

6. Duties & Taxes

6.1 Sales Tax

Please note that the price at checkout includes Sales Tax, also known as VAT (Valued Added Tax) in the UK. This Tax has been applied to the price of all goods displayed on the website at a rate of 20% as per government regulations.

6.2 Import Duties & Taxes

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in the destination country. This varies by country, and R44 Performance encourages you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us. If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to R44 Performance at the customer's expense. The customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping provided the goods arrive at us in the original condition and are not damaged in any way. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded in this case. If returned goods do not get to us for any reason, we cannot be held liable and reserve the right not to issue a refund for the goods.

7. Cancellations

If you change your mind before you have received your order, we are able to accept cancellations at any time before the order has been dispatched. All cancellation requests need to be put in writing and emailed to our support team at info@r44performance.co.uk. If an order has already been dispatched, please refer to our refund policy.

8. Insurance

Parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the value as stated by the courier.

8.1 Process for parcel damaged in-transit

We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has completed their investigation into the claim.

Returns Policy

1. Return Due To Change Of Mind

R44 Performance will happily accept returns due to change of mind as long as a request to return is received by us within 30 days of receipt of the item and is returned to us in original packaging, unused and in resellable condition. Return shipping will be paid at the customer's expense and will be required to arrange their own shipping. We unfortunately will NOT refund the value of any original shipping paid either.

Once returns are received and approved by our quality assurance team, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 3-5 business for the United Kingdom and 5-10 business for other countries. We will notify you once this has been completed through email.

Please note that for any orders of Maxton branded products, there is a £15.00 restocking fee that they impose on all returns where it is clearly not their fault. Unfortunately due to the sheer volume of Maxton orders we receive, we are not able to absorb this cost and thus will subtract it from your final refund.

During sales, the sale discounts are only valid for new orders placed during the specified sale period and cannot be retrospectively applied to backorders.

Please be aware that gift cards are unfortunately non-refundable or exchangeable for cash.

For all parts sold where custom work was done, for example, IND custom-painted parts, these are sold at the customer's own risk. This means we cannot offer any refunds, returns, exchanges or credit if you no longer need or want the part. Due to the nature of custom work, we do not hold stock of them as we order them on a case-by-case basis. For any other queries please get in touch with our customer support team via email.

2. Warranty Returns

R44 Performance will happily honour any valid warranty claims, provided a claim is submitted within 30 days of receipt of items. Customers will be required to pre-pay the return shipping, however, we will reimburse you upon successful warranty claim. Upon return receipt of items for a warranty claim, you can expect R44 Performance to process your warranty claim within 7 days.

Once the warranty claim is confirmed, you will receive the choice of:

(a) Refund to your original payment method

(b) A refund in-store credit

(c) A replacement item sent to you (if stock is available)

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I return an item?

Simply pack the item well in a taped and secure box, ideally in the same manner as how you received it from us, in its original condition. Fill in the returns form included in your order and insert this into the box as well. Ship your return order back to us within 30 days of receipt in order to receive a full refund excluding original delivery fees.

We aim to process refunds within 14 working days of receiving the item back at our Wembley warehouse. Please note that the customer is responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item and returning it to us safely in its original condition. We cannot offer a full refund if the product is damaged during shipping or does not reach us due to unforeseen shipping issues. The amount refundable is determined by our quality team upon arrival at our warehouse.

5. What if I change my mind about my order or I ordered the wrong product?

You can send it back to us, no problem! Make sure when shipping the product back that it is securely packaged. If damage happens during transit, your refund may not be accepted. Unfortunately, the return postage cost is the sole responsibility of the customer and this will not be refunded in this case either. This includes cases where the shipping was free at checkout. The actual cost we paid to cover your shipping will also be deducted from your refund. In the case where you request us to provide a return label, this cost will also be deducted from the refund total.

6. When will I get my refund once I return my order?

Once we receive your order back and if the refund request is approved, it usually takes 1-3 days to be processed and a further 1-2 days after this to appear in your bank account, between countries in the EU and UK. Usually, it is less time than this, however, we cannot guarantee it. This time can vary a lot depending on your bank and other circumstances. It usually takes around 2-5 working days for an international payment to clear, but it can in some cases take longer. MHC Products

MHC and MHC Black products are supplied with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty, while MHC Plus products are supplied with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects that may occur, outside of usual wear and tear. A replacement unit will be issued or an alternative if the item is discontinued.

SHFT Products

All SHFT products are supplied with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty as a standard. However, our SHFT steering wheels come with a 2-year warranty. This does not cover general wear and tear. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects that may occur, outside of usual wear and tear. A replacement unit will be issued or an alternative if the item is discontinued.

SHFT Airbags are sold as show items only. We do not hold responsibility for use on the road. When making the product, where possible we have added cuts to allow for the air bag to explode when needed in an accident, however this has not been tested by us and we cannot guarantee your safety or claim any responsibility for any injuries that may occur while using the product.

Performance Products

For performance parts, please see individual listings as different manufacturers will offer their own warranty duration. Refer to the manufacturer website for more detailed information on their terms and conditions. If you are having issues with a part contact us first and we will do our best to assist you, whatever the issue may be.

Custom Products

For all parts sold where custom work was done, for example IND custom painted parts, these are sold at the customer’s own risk. This means we cannot offer any refunds, returns, exchanges or credit if you no longer need or want the part. Due to the nature of custom work, we do not hold stock of them as we order them on a case by case basis. For any other queries please get in touch with our customer support team via email.

Merchandise Products

R44 Branded clothing, accessories and other merchandise that does not fall into our other product categories, come with a 6-month warranty. This does not cover general wear and tear. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects that may occur, outside of usual wear and tear. A replacement product will be issued or an alternative if the item is discontinued.

Product Fitment Guarantee

We unfortunately cannot claim any responsibility for unforeseeable mishaps resulting from product fitment by our customers. An example of this would include products that are bonded with glue to your vehicle exterior or interior and over time the product falls off during use, and either gets lost or damaged. In this case we can offer a replacement part based on the customer situation.

If you are based in the United Kingdom, we recommend you letting us fit products for you at our London shop by our team or other approved fitting garage for the best results. If not, we can only provide advice, but all risk then falls on the customer as we cannot control how they install our products.

Associated Labour Costs 

Our products that we sell are only guaranteed against manufacturing defects for the period of ownership of the product whilst installed to the vehicle. Please retain your original invoice, receipt or your order confirmation email as proof of purchase for the specific product should the need arise to claim against the guarantee.

Should a defect occur with the product during use, please contact our team via email who will advise you of the necessary steps to take. If the fault in the product is found to be due to defective materials or manufacture, we will repair or replace the defective part(s) free of charge.

This guarantee does not cover any shipping costs or labour fees incurred during the removal and refitting of the product(s), or any loss or damage caused by such defect. We can only replace a defective product(s) but not reimburse you for any labour costs associated with the installation of the original product(s).

This guarantee is not transferable and covers only the original purchaser of the product(s).

As a standard all R44 Performance products listed on our website will come with a minimum 6-month warranty, unless otherwise stated in the product description or above. You will receive a warranty card with your order for the product(s) supplied.

To have a successful warranty claim, please read the following terms below to ensure your warranty claim is valid:

  • Have the warranty card which was supplied with the product(s).
  • The product(s) have been deemed correctly fitted to your car by R44 Performance.
  • A manufacture’s defect is present and not an issue caused by the customer.
  • A product that we believe was supplied by us. We cannot assist with a product that was not sold by us directly to you.
